We have been spending quite a bit of time exploring the walking and hiking trails on the Barrington Coast this year. Recently we spent some time at Seal Rocks, staying at Treachery Camp. There are a few walks available in the area, but none more stunning than the Treachery Headland walk.

The Trail
This is a stunning walk! And we stumbled upon it by chance. Our original intention had been to walk down to Lighthouse Beach and up towards Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse at Seal Rocks. However, back burning by National Parks and Wildlife closed Lighthouse Beach for the day and we took a detour to Treachery Headland. So very glad that we did.
The trail is fairly well marked and passes through coastal rainforest before winding its way around the grassy headland where there are magnificent views of the ocean, Treachery and Lighthouse Beaches.
There is a side-track down to Treachery Beach towards the end of this walk. A great place for swimming, surfing or fishing.
If you would prefer a slightly longer walk, take the side-track down to Treachery Beach and walk towards Yagon Gibber Headland. Walking to the end of the beach and back will add around 6 kms to your walk.
The closest spot to buy supplies is the small township of Seal Rocks. Here you can find a coffee shop and general store. There are more options for purchasing supplies at Blueys Beach, located 10 km from Seal Rocks. Otherwise, it's best to take all supplies with you.
Getting there
